Joan T. Staton

STATON, Joan T., 67, of Amelia, died March 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Staton. Survivors include her children, Russell Staton of Powhatan, Va., Richard Staton and Theresa Matheny, both of Chesterfield, Va., and Patricia Collins of Powhatan, Va.; one sister, Dorothy Atkins of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Steven P. Richards Jr., Jennifer Black, Kristen Thompson, Brandon Matheny, Nicholas and Ashton Staton; great-grandchildren, Alexander Collins and Christopher Black; and many nieces and nephews. Her remains rest at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday.
