Joan Swarthout Obituary

Joan was the 6th child of Daniel and Louisa Kavanaugh. She grew up in Charlotte, NY with her beloved siblings, Larry, Lloyd, Genevieve, Danny, Gene, Mary Lou and Pat. She was baptized, received 1st Holy Communion, was confirmed and married at Holy Cross Church. She graduated from Holy Cross School and the Nazareth Academy. Joan was a founder of the Hickok Center serving individuals living with traumatic brain injuries.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated, SATURDAY, November 15th, 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church (4492 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY 14612). Interment, private.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hickok Center (2320 Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road, Suite 400, Rochester, NY 14623) DONATE ONLINE.
