Today, we honor the life of Joan "Junie" Walker who went Home to join a long lineage of beautiful family Saturday, May 24, 2025. Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania June 3, 1935, into the loving Italian family of the late Frank and Margaret Santia. She filled every room she entered with warmth and tender care for others.

Wife of the late Harry D. Walker. June was a devoted Catholic who loved The Lord. Her eternity is sealed in Christ.

She is survived by her children, Dawn (Doug) Zollinger, Sherry (Robert) Wareham, and John (Ellen) Walker, her sister Bonita "Bonnie" Toscano, her grandchildren Dillon (Selena), Riley, Mariah, Brady, Zach, and Molly, and her great-grandchildren Ronan, Vienna, and Capree. This family has thrived and been blessed beyond measure as a result of her dedication. Junie's love language was cooking and time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was always available to her cherished family and friends with a passion that knew no bounds; spoiling her grandchildren in a variety of ways. They are and always will be her pride and joy.

Though she has left us, her legacy remains in the recipes of relationships she has passed down. The memories created around her table, and the love she so freely gave resounds in all of us.

Her absence leaves a void, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. As we bid her farewell, we remember her not with tears, but with gratitude for a life that was well-lived and a love that was deeply felt.

Rest in peace, dearest Mema. You will be forever missed but never forgotten.
