On October 11, 2025, Joan E. Webb, while with her loving family, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She was 77.
Joan was born on July 16, 1948, in Milford, DE, to the late James and Katherine McIlvain.
She graduated from Milford High School in 1966.
Joan worked as a Bank Teller at Sussex Trust Company, in Milford, where she made lifelong friends with Judy Grier, Betty Gillette and Ruthann Jefferson. She then transitioned into a full-time Mom and homemaker.
She was very active in the Calvary Wesleyan Church in Harrington, and donated to many charities, such as; Delmarva Adult & Teen Challenge.
In her spare time Joan enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with her beloved family and friends, traveling to Florida with her girlfriends, shopping, decorating her home, music and dancing.
She also enjoyed baking, especially her famous dessert pies.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, David Terrance Webb; her loving sons, Timothy Short and his wife Brenna, and James Todd Webb and his fiancé Carly Wilson; sister, Judy Fister and her husband John; nieces; nephews; and dear friends who will remember her for her humor, warmth, generosity and unconditional love.
The family will receive visitors at Calvary Wesleyan Church, 240 Delaware Ave., Harrington, from 10AM to 12PM on Saturday October 18th. A funeral service will start at 12 noon.
Interment is Milford Community Cemetery 850 N DuPont Blvd Milford, Delaware 19963.
Following interment, a reception will be held at Calvary Church, 301 S.E. Front Street, Milford, DE 19963.
