Joan Wilder Obituary
Venice - Joan R. Wilder, 84, of Venice passed away July 7, 2021 at her home. She was born September 1, 1936 in Mansfield OH to the late Harry Bunton and Roberta Freel- Bunton.
Joan retired from General Electric after 34 years. She was an avid gardener who paid special attention to her roses. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice where her and her late husband Neil enjoyed volunteering for various events including feeding those in need. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina LeSure, son, Stanley Wilder and his wife, Debbie, one sister, Deanna Rieter, grandchildren, David, Josh, Roberta, Nettie and Brad, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild as well as Eric and Phil Waltenburg.
In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Neil Waltenburg, son Robert "Mark" Wilder, sister, Rose Mary Bunton, brother, Eddie Bunton and a granddaughter, Christy Minnick.
There will be a visitation from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Saturday July 10, 2021 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice (265 S. Nokomis Ave.) with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.

What a special lady! We enjoyed visiting with her every year when we came to FL. So sad that the COVID dissuaded us seeing her the last 2 years! We always had so much fun with her! Please accept our sympathies and prayers.
