Joan Nobles Williams France, 86, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on November 11, 2025. Joan will forever be remembered as a devoted Registered Nurse whose gentle touch and unwavering compassion brought comfort and hope to countless lives. She will also be cherished for her sharp wit, joyful spirit, boundless generosity and her radiant, beautiful smile.
Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixteen years, Arthur Lloyd France; her parents; and siblings Walter, R.P., Benny Ray, Ricky, and Dorothy (Dot).She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Angela (San Francisco) and Lisa (Atlanta); stepdaughter Alison (New York); siblings Deanna (Doris) (New York), Deborah (Diane) (Alabama), Jimmy (Alabama), Patti (North Carolina), Anita (Clarence) (Texas), and Victor (Alabama); and her cherished granddaughter, Cheko France (New York).
In accordance with her wishes, Joan was cremated, and no further services will be held.
