MOUNTAIN CITY - Joan Williams, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born January 18, 1951 to the late John Williams and Ruby Gilbert Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Williams.
Joan was a 1969 graduate of Holston High School, a 1975 graduate University of Cincinnati Ohio, and 1981 graduate of East Tennessee State where she received her bachelor's degree in nursing.
Those left to cherish her memories include her brother, John "Tim" Williams and wife Joni of Damascus, VA; sister-in-law, Kathy Williams; niece, Laura Lowe Brooks; nephews, Josh Williams, Jon Williams, Calvin Williams; great nieces and nephews, Haley and Josh Lowe, Olivia and Desmond Williams, Autumn and Ava Williams; caregivers, Libby Brewer, Kim Collins, Danielle Trivette; best friend, Donna Estep Livingston.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA with Armand Jalbert to officiate. Pallbearers will be Tim Williams, Josh Williams, Jon Williams, Calvin Williams, Adam Trivette, and Mickey Brewer.
