JoAnn Bloch

Bloch, Joan (Jakeway) Joan Bloch of Grand Rapids passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Carroll and Bonnie Jakeway, husbands Lee Munao, Ron Bloch brother Joe Jakeway and her sweet dog Sadie. She is survived by her sisters Jean Nugent, Carole Jakeway, brother Bob (Maude) Jakeway and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joan was an energetic elementary school teacher for 15 years in Michigan, Florida and Virginia; later she and her first husband established and operated an RV Dealership in Virginia for 10 years. She also worked with Mary Kay Cosmetics since 1993. She took great pride in doing the flowers and decorations at Blessed Sacrament Church for 8 years giving credit to the Holy Spirit for His inspirations. Perhaps her 4-H membership in the Parnell area contributed to her love of planting flowers and feeding all God's creatures, ducks, deer, squirrels and birds in her backyard. Private funeral services will be held. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary or Paws with a Cause.
