Joann Clayton Obituary
JoJo, who resided at 5195 Russell Street in Greenwood, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 2, at Jackson Hospital, following a brief illness.
A native of Newark, N.J., she relocated to Jackson County three years ago and resided in Greenwood. She was employed as an education paraprofessional at Hope School in Marianna. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna.
JoJo leaves a lifetime of love and precious memories with her loving family to include: Her husband, Mr. Chris Clayton Sr. of Greenwood; two sons, Mr. DeQuin Simmons of Marianna, and Master Chris Clayton Jr. of Greenwood; one daughter, Mrs. Donisha Campbell and husband, Mr. Abdur Raheem of Newark, N.J.; stepfather, Mr. Curtis Ficklin of Newark, N.J.; two brothers, Mr. Lenny Leonard of Newark, N.J., and Mr. Lyle Hines of South Carolina; four sisters, Ms. Natalie Hines, Ms. Keera Hines and Ms. Chelsea Hines, all of Newark, N.J., and Ms. Elizabeth Jordan of Asbury Park, N.J.; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, at the church, on Saturday.
