JoAnn Drew

JoAnn Drew, a cherished mother and Mimi was a resident of Aurora, CO, formerly a life-long resident of Lake County, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024. She was born in Orlando and moved to Aurora in 2018. JoAnn dedicated much of her life to community service. She was a former President of the Eustis High School Band Boosters, she contributed significantly to the Eustis Little League, was also a member of the Eustis Women's Club, and an active member of the Pilot Club of Quincy, FL. A lifelong Baptist, JoAnn's faith deeply influenced her life and service. She is joining her beloved late husband Frederick C. Drew, her “Lucky Duck,” who preceded her in death in 2007 and son-in law, Michael David Drew, who preceded her in death in 2022. She leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Marvin L. "Beaver" Pelt, Jr. (Ocala, FL), Thomas F. "Rick" Pelt (Holly) of Calhoun, LA, Fred Drew, Jr. (Amy) of Orlando, FL, and Leo Drew (Elizabeth) of San Clemente, CA; daughters, Angela Drew of Aurora, CO, Shawn Ogden of Denver, CO, Karen Haire (Rick) of Clermont, FL, and Elizabeth Ann Scholl (Michael) of Medfield, MA; nineteen grandchildren, Bo Pelt, Jason Thornton, Amanda (Adam) King, Jarrod Pelt, Olivia Branstetter, Aubrey (Casey) Cota, Leo Drew, Evan (Terry) Drew, Shona (Michael) Drew, Hillary (Douglas) Drew, Forrest Drew, Aaron Drew, Cole (Sara) Barlow, Chase Ogden, Robert Haire, Tim (Kristen) Haire, Katie Scholl, Hannah Scholl, Jacqueline Scholl; fourteen great-grandchildren Ayala Breon, Ashton King, Avie King, Landon Drew, Kinsley Drew, Hayden Cota, Vaughn Cota, Logan Drew, Zachary (Laura) Halladay, Hallie Whalen, Oliver Drew, Kairi Drew, Aiden Lillo, Scarlet Barlow, Luke Barlow; along with two great-great-grandchildren Riley Halladay, and River Halladay. She was a pillar of strength and love for her extensive family. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 till 11:00 AM.
