JoAnn Garlanger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mount Laurel Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, Inc. on Mar. 5, 2024.
JoAnn Garlanger was born on October 11, 1941, in Mt. Holly, NJ, to the late John and Ruth Lynch. She passed away on March 3, 2024, after a very sudden decline in her health. JoAnn was only 82 years young.
A resident of Delran, NJ, since 1991, JoAnn worked in Human Resources as an Administrative Assistant at Lockheed Martin, retiring in 2010. Upon her retirement, JoAnn spent her days doing all of the things she loved, gardening, going to the casino, binge watching television shows, cheering for all Philly sports teams (specifically the 76ers), and most of all spending every possible moment with her grandchildren, whom she loved to the moon and back. JoAnn was compassionate, thoughtful, and giving, always putting others before herself, and would be the first one there to help no matter the situation. JoAnn is loved by many and will be dearly missed.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Sandy L. Ashmore (Jim); siblings: Patricia Carty (the late Louis), Barbara Mazza (the late David), Dennis Lynch (Rita), and James Lynch (Elizabeth). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lauren Rossi (Patrick), Ryan and Tyler Ashmore; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley P. Garlanger; brother, John "Jack" Lynch; and sister, Ruth DuBois (nee Lynch).
Family and friends whose lives JoAnn touched are invited to the visitation from 10am - 12pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, to reminisce and celebrate JoAnn's life with the memorial service immediately following at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, . At the request of the family, interment will be private.

I met JoAnn while attending Church at Holy Name in Delran. Before COVID, we would sit in the same pew every week. Came to find out that in addition to our faith, we both worked at Lockheed Martin. JoAnn was a very lovely lady. May she rest in eternal peace.
