Joann Burch Greenwood

JoAnn Burch Greenwood of Seneca, South Carolina, passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born in Franklin, North Carolina, and grew up there, a place that always held a special place in her heart. She worked at Clemson University, a time she truly enjoyed and found rewarding. Outside of work, she loved reading, spending time outdoors, and listening to music.

 A strong woman in every sense, she was most proud of her children and grandchildren, who brought her the greatest joy. JoAnn was a woman of faith. She enjoyed reading the Bible and loved the Lord, finding comfort and strength in her faith throughout her life. Her faith, quiet strength, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 She is survived by her children, Jackie Goss and Tisha Hopkins; her grandchildren, Mason Hopkins, Bryson Hopkins, and Ethan Goss; and her siblings, Dorothy Waldrop, Tommy Burch, James Burch, Connie Chavez, Patrisha Ranke’, and Jerry Burch. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tanner Hopkins; her siblings, Don Anderson, Frank Anderson, Verlon Burch, Clarence Burch, and Clata Parker; and her parents, Goldie and Buford Burch.

 The memorial service will be held on January 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funerals, 101 East North Second Street, Seneca SC. Her family will forever cherish her strength, her faith, and the love she gave.
