My heart goes out to the family! JoAnn was such a vibrant, smart, kind and family loving person! This is heartbreaking

When my daughter was 4 or 5 we met up with JoAnn and her mom at a feis. Anne Healy was a good friend to my mom Ann Fitzgerald Walsh. JoAnn took time out of her day to talk to and encourage Kaitlyn. I think she thought JoAnn walked on water! After that feis JoAnn remembered Kaitlyn. Any time we bumped into her at another feis she would again take time to talk to Kaitlyn and encourage her with her dance steps. JoAnn could have walked away and ignored Kaitlyn as many teenagers might have but instead she was always willing to spend some time with her. That little 4 year old is now 39 and still Irish dancing! Thank-you JoAnn for your kindness in spending your precocious time with Kaitlyn.

I still remember our first meeting when I interviewed you between your classes at Emerson just outside South Station. As a friend and work colleague you will be missed.

My condolences to all JoAnn's family and friends, such a tragic loss. I knew JoAnn over more than 20 years at Intermarket and then SWIFT, where she was Cognito's client for about 6-7 years. Great fun to work with, serious but pragmatic and fair. And hugely knowledgeable of course. Many fond memories of frantic working and fun and games at Siboses around the world and at various venues in the woods around SWIFT in Belgium. And always conscious she had small children back home. May JoAnn rest in the peace of the risen Christ.
Two photos from Sibos Singapore 2016 below. I am very sorry that I am just not able to come to the funeral.
