Joann Kane Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nat-Gawlas-Jordan Funeral Home - West on Oct. 10, 2025.
Joann L. Kane, 50, of Edwardsville, passed Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. She was born in Pittston to the late Robert and Shirley Karosick Kane. Joann worked as a CNA, caring passionately for everyone's loved ones. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittston.
Summing up the life of someone who forms the foundation of a family is heartfelt. Her pride and joy were her three daughters who she had a fierce overprotectiveness for. One that would rival a mama bear when you messed with her cubs. She loved being a nana more than anything in this world. Her grandbabies brought her so much happiness, which she returned by spoiling them in any way she possibly could. Her zest for life and memory will live on in every early 2000's alternative rock song we hear that she used to blare from her car radio, in every waterfall we see, in the unwavering strength she possessed, and no nonsense attitude which she has bestowed to all of us. She excelled at helping others and supporting them through many passions or difficulties of life. In addition to the person she was, she loved to go on mountain rides to hike and see the waterfalls. She loved nature and the feel of sunshine on her skin and the woodsy air of the forest. Her hugs felt invigorating and warm, and smelt like a refreshing embrace, and you knew that you were going to be safe. Her love will intertwine cherished memories and stories across generations, leaving a permanent mark on our hearts. It is because of her, we have a fight and fire in us that cannot be put out.
Survived by her fiancé, Brian Amos, Edwardsville, daughters, Ashley Warrick, Pittston, Kyley Warrick, Larksville, and Kailey Warrick, Pittston, grandchildren, Quentin, Elliot, Meadow, Neva, Silas, and 2 brothers.
A celebration of life service will be held in the spring. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, Edwardsville.
