I can't believe a year has passed. Time goes by so quickly now. At least it seems too when you get older. I miss seeing you with Amy at Temple. But I am now at Chabad. You always looked so stately and lovely. JoAnn you were and probably still are the whole package. Your hair, makeup and clothing were to perfection. And that little smile of yours. You are now a blessed memory. Baruch Hashem.

I knew JoAnn just to say hello at Temple or at different events over the years. She would smile at me and nod. She always looked so elegant and stately. And I wondered if she remembered me. But it didn't seem to matter. I know her daughter Amy who has a special place in my heart. When my own mother of blessed memory passed, Amy was there to help support me during Shiva. And I will never forget her kindness. I was at the funeral service for the daughters father. The love they have for there parents is wonderful. The one story I do remember is how he would talk to his daughters and say lets have dessert and it was usually a bowl of cereal. The daughters of the Okun Family were truly blessed with caring parents. Sandi Grohnke
