Jo Ann Smith

Jo Ann Smith, a dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, pastor's wife, and nurse, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on August 13, 1938, Jo Ann lived a life defined by faith, compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and her Lord.

Her life was firmly anchored in her love for Jesus Christ and her love for her family. Jo Ann did not simply speak of faith - she lived it daily. Through seasons of joy and seasons of challenge, she trusted God completely.

She was preceded in death by her Father, George Kinder, her Mother Frances Kinder and her Husband Ralph E. Smith Jr.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Billham (Don), Erva Reardon (Jim), sons Ralph E.Smith III (Maria),Daniel Smith (Connie) and her daughter Julie Elerick (Jimmy),12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with her son, Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Wednesday, March 4, 2026 10AM-12PM at the funeral home.
