JoAnn T. Stevenson, born on August 8, 1944, and peacefully passing on March 11, 2026, is remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew her. A devoted Methodist and a graduate of Chartiars Hauston High School, JoAnn lived a life marked by love, family, and a profound affection for her canine companions.
She is tenderly mourned by her loving husband, Charles Stevenson, and their children, James Stevenson and Tracy (Bill) Windchimer. Her family circle extends to her sister Debbie Ullom, grandsons David Higgins and Tony Higgins, nephews Joseph Simonelli and Chad Simonelli, as well as her great-granddaughters Remi, Avery, Oaklynn, and Raily, all of whom carry forward her legacy of kindness and familial devotion.
JoAnn was also preceded in death by her father, Joseph Simonelli; mother, Angeline Simonelli; brother, Joseph Simonelli Jr.; and sister, Susie. Their memories remain a treasured part of JoAnn’s story and family history. JoAnn also cherished many dogs in life including her beloved golden retriever Sadie, who preceded her in death and held a special place in her heart.
JoAnn T. Stevenson’s gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and loving commitment to those around her will long be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of love and care, embraced by those fortunate to have shared in her life.
Family, friends, and community members will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a visitation on March 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, located at 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646. The funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 4:00 PM. JoAnn will later be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
