She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Moore; husband, Melvin Stewart; daughter, April Stewart; brothers, JT Moore, Junior Moore, Farris Moore, Bill Moore; sisters, Grace Summey and Mildred Cox.
Jo Ann is survived by her sons, Michael Stewart of Dalton, Allen Stewart of Port St Richy, FL, Ronald and Kellie Stewart of Rocky Face; daughter, Connie Smith of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Paul Byrd of Dalton, Ruby King of Dalton, Sarah Edwards of Dalton, Emma Silvers of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Shirley Moore of Dalton; grandchildren, Danny and Tracy King, Dewayne King, David and Bridgette King, Jessica and Randi Stewart, Josh and Heidi Stewart, Jason and Maria Stewart, Petey Stewart, Britney Stewart, Jacob and Dani Stewart; great-grandchildren, LaRocque and Morgan King, Jared King, J.J. Stewart, Jackson Stewart, Walker Stewart, Grayson Stewart, Paxton King, Peyton King, and Cayden Walden; great-great-grandson, Dansby King.
Service to celebrate the life of Jo Ann Stewart will be held, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. from Julian Peeples Funeral Home Pleasant Grove Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
