Joann Sweeney-Voight Obituary
It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joann Elizabeth Sweeney-Voight on November 24, 2022, with family at her side. Joann courageously battled Pancreatic cancer for several years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Danny of 35 years.
Joann was born in Las Vegas, NM, and grew up in Albuquerque. She graduated from Manzano High School. She attended the University of New Mexico. She started her career at the House of Carpets, where she found her passion for interior design. She worked at several other interior design firms throughout her career including numerous custom home builders in Albuquerque and surrounding areas.
Joann and Danny were married in 1987, they traveled to many parts of the United States, Europe, Australia, and other parts of the world. Joann was very active, dedicated, hardworking and loved playing golf with her many friends. Joann took pride in her beautiful home and loved entertaining friends and family.
Joann is survived by her parents, James, and Betty Sweeney (Aranda). Her sister, Rhonda and her husband, Wayne Davis. Two brothers, James, and Donald. Niece, Vanessa and nephews, Chandler, Anthony (his wife Danielle), Phillip (his wife Madeleine), a great niece, Sophie and stepchildren, Dana, and Danny Paul.

I am quite saddened to learn of Joann's passing as she will always be remembered so fondly and lovingly from our old school days that we would often recall of those fast times @ MHS and beyond those great years when we'd cross paths through business or travel flights and was a laugh a minute ! What a loss for this world and to all members of her family that I knew back then and later on ( Rhonda and James ) God bless all of you! Bob & Shirley Arellano.

Danny and Joann were our neighbors for many years on Bridgepointe. Good people; they just don't come any finer. Deepest sympathies to their families.
