Joann Verts Obituary
Jo was born on December 17, 1944, in LeMars, Iowa, the eldest daughter of Kermit and Viola (DeRaad) Fulton.
She completed her nursing training through Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1966 and spent just under 33 years as a RN in the labor & delivery unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Jo is survived by a son, Drew Verts (Sheila) of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Sara Hill (Derek) of Rosemount, MN; a brother, Robert (Mary) of LeMars, IA, a brother, Donald (Martha) of Traskwood, AR; two sisters, Janice (John) of Garretson, SD and Jean (Greg) of Traskwood, AR and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Charles "Chuck" her husband of 48 years and her parents.
