Mrs. Joanne Laverne Davis Thomas

Mrs. Joanne Davis Thomas, 74, of Augusta, GA, wife of forty-eight years to Gary Jerome Thomas, entered into rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025 in the comfort of her home.
Born in Gainesville, FL, a daughter of the late Lockwood and Doris Rogers Davis, Joanne, Gary, and the children lived in various places. In 1987, the family settled in Beech Island, SC. For several years, she operated the family business, Joanne's Deli in Beech Island, SC.
Joanne's culinary skills were excellent. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She looked forward to time spent with her family and friends, especially during the holidays and get-togethers. Recently, Joanne and Gary moved to St. John Towers, where they quickly made friends. Joanne also enjoyed crafting, knitting, trips to Biloxi, and of course, "bling"
However, she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Noah Sharpe, Hunter Thomas, Tessa Caffrey, Tripp Thomas, Reagan Thomas, Autumn Thomas, and let us not forget her great-grandson, Maddox Thomas.
Surviving Joanne are her children, Timothy Paul "Timmy" Thomas, Daniel Joseph "Danny" (Tiea) Thomas, and Wendy Thomas Caffrey; her sister, Jeannie Shoptaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, parents, and several siblings, her first grandson, Brandon Thomas, also preceded her in death.
In honoring her wishes, Joanne will be cremated, and services are to be private.
Considering her love for animals, memorials in her honor may be given to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare. (www.letlovelive.org)
