Joanne Marie Luke, 59, wife of John K. Luke, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. Born in Stafford Springs, CT, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marie Ernest Perusse.
In addition to her husband of 33 years, she is survived by her children, Alan Luke, Jenna Luke, Jonathan Luke and Anna (Kelly) Luke; sisters, Diane (Robert) Stack and Sandra Hill.
A celebration of life will be held on December 15, 2024 from 3pm-6pm at The Clubhouse at Canewood in Georgetown, KY.
Joanne was a bright light for her friends and family. She was a woman who could make the worst days feel hopeful, the hardest situations feel easy, and brought happiness into a cruel world. She showed the people in her life that care, kindness, and compassion is everywhere and that you just have to look for it. The amount of love she had for her family was shown everyday and not a single moment was wasted.
Joanne cared deeply about helping others. She was a nurse and worked at Bluegrass Care Navigators where she was the director of quality and patient safety. In her free time, she spent time doing things that she loved. She was an avid traveler, loved playing slots at the casino, and spending time with her family and friends.
Joanne shared so much love and light, and that can never be lost. The moments we have with her live on in us. If you are feeling the heartbreaking emotions that come with grief, remember that it hurts so much because of the love we had for her. Spend each hard moment remembering what an amazing and incredible woman she was, and remind yourself that you are grateful for every memory you got to share with her. Feeling the loss of someone is a blessing because without love, there would be no loss. Cherish your memories and let her light live on.
