She was a graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News Va. Work included Secretary at Bradfords Chrysler Plymouth in Snow Hill, Treasurer at Worcester County Farm Bureau and at Nassawango Country Club, and Fiscal Clerk at Worcester County Health finally retiring at 80.
She is survived by her sons, R James Mariner (Jennifer) and Keith Lee Mariner (Debra); grandchildren, Andrews James Mariner (Jordan), Krista Mariner Love (Mike), Michael Randall Mariner (Emilie), and Katherine Emma Mariner; great-grandchildren, Maddox James Mariner and Madeleine Ivy Mariner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Randall James Mariner. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Ernest James Beachboard, and her sister, Ellen Beachboard Stanford.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Snow Hill Christian Church located at 300 Park Row Snow Hill, MD 21863. Rev. Dale Jacobs will preside. Interment will be at Bates Cemetery immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joannes memory to Snow Hill Christian Church. Letters of condolence can be sent to the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in care of The Burbage Funeral Home, Snow Hill.
