Joanne Pasmont Moran passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. Born in 1934, Joanne was a longtime resident of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and in recent years made her home at the Eliza Jennings Health Campus in Cleveland. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and later attended Miami University and Case Western Reserve University.
Although her studies focused on the sciences, Joanne built a successful career in marketing and sales, where her calm, precise, and rational approach to problem-solving served her well, especially in working with challenging clients.
She loved classical music and was a gifted young pianist. Joanne also looked forward to every college football season and was a devoted fan of both Ohio State and Notre Dame. Seeing the two teams meet in the 2025 College Football Championship was a highlight she thoroughly enjoyed.
Her family remains deeply grateful for the attentive and compassionate care she received in her final years from her primary care physician, Dr. Nitin Govani, Lisa Fluhart and the staff of Eliza Jennings Health Campus, the hospice team of Compassus, the medical staff at Cleveland Clinic, Guardian Kathryn Joseph, and the Cuyahoga County Probate Court.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents, James and Marie Mathilde Pasmont, and her sister, Mary Louise. She is survived by her niece Nina, her nephew David, her brother-in-law George, and extended family throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Her final resting place is All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
