Jobretta Curtis, 87, passed on November 22, 2025, surrounded in her final days by loving family.
She shared 64 years of marriage with Oliver Earl Curtis. After retiring from Owens Illinois Glass Plant, she spent her days tending to her farm and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings with the exception of a sister; her husband, Oliver; and her great-grandson, Michael Chance Vasser.
Jobretta is survived by her sister, Yvonne Teat; daughters, Barbara Wooten (husband Dennis), Patty Charanza (husband Ed), and Terrie Gillaspie; sons, Stephen Curtis (wife Michelle) and Oliver Carl Curtis; and her grandchildren, Shawna Richardson, David Vasser, Heather Michum, Jennifer Gillaspie, Jon Vasser, Christina Vasser, Ashley Stone, Stephen Carter, Stephanie Carter, Jolene Flowers, Dana Wooten, and Trey Charanza.
She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Church of the Redeemed, located at 4300 Orchard Lane, Waco, Texas. Viewing starts at 10 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jeff Stinson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Carter, Robert Colburn, Nathan Flowers, Joseph Stone, David Vasser, Jon Vasser.
