Jodie Frieders Obituary
Jodie L. Frieders, age 63 of Leland, IL passed away at her home on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born in Sycamore, IL, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Miller) Whitney.
Jodie was united in marriage on December 5, 1987 in Aurora, IL to Mr. Gary V. Frieders and they have spent the next 37 years happily together. She was employed for many years by both the Leland School District and Indian Creek, as a school bus driver. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Jodie is survived by her husband, Gary V. Frieders of Leland, IL; her sons, Gregory (Krystyna) Frieders of Lee, IL, Tyler (Jesstine) Frieders of Ottawa, IL, and Dustin (Kayla) Frieders of Serena, IL; her grandchildren, Greyson, Karter, Asher, Kaidyn, and Madyson; her father, John Whitney; her siblings, Damon (Wendy) Whitney of Sandwich, IL, Ken (Kathy) Whitney of Polo, IL, and Vickie (Butch) Beyer of Sycamore, IL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Whitney; also her grandparents, Dolores and William Miller.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 E. Garfield Street, Waterman, IL. Interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Funeral Home in Waterman, IL.
