Jody is survived by her husband, Douglas, her sister, Lori Casbarro Perolla (Frank Perolla), her brother, Louis Casbarro III (Kelly), many nieces and nephews, and Cooper, her Labrador Retriever.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, James Fitzpatrick.
Growing up in West Haven, she learned and inherited her father's passion of being outdoors and gardening. Despite her limited physical ability due to Multiple Sclerosis, Jody created a unique and beautiful landscape in the front of the house for all passersby to enjoy and a peaceful, plant filled oasis for family and friends to experience in the back.
