Jody A. Brown passed away on January 21, 2026. At the time of his passing, he was working as a heavy equipment operator in Fort Benton, Montana; he lived in Laurel, Montana.
If you met Jody, chances were good he would end up knowing more about you than you knew about him. He took a genuine interest in people and what made them tick. This inquisitive nature carried into many areas of his life, including physics, mechanics, and auto body work. He loved Toyota vehicles, construction and excavation work, music, many sports, and was a devoted Arizona Cardinals fan.
Jody had a unique perspective on life and a frank sense of humor. He was deeply loved, unforgettable, and taken from us far too soon. Yet we hold to the belief that we will meet again when we are all awakened.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leona Brown, and his brothers, Tom and Jeff Brown. He is survived by his siblings: Sharen (Joel) Cobetto of Billings; Doug (Vernetta) Brown of Red Lodge; Judy Fisher of Laurel; Victoria Wick of Bellingham, Washington; Jona (Andre) Moss of Billings; and Becky Libert of Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1007 W. 4th Street, Laurel, Montana. A private family graveside service will be held in the spring of 2026.
