Jody Dee Murray

Jerome D. Murray, 61, of Jackson Twp., Wells County, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 9:35 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home in rural Montpelier. He was born on Thursday, July 14, 1960, in Wells County, IN to John Edward & Gelene M. (Mechling) Murray. He married Janet D. McClain on Sunday, October 2, 1994, in Jackson Twp., Wells County. Jody was a 1978 graduate of Southern Wells. He was a diesel mechanic, where he was employed at Reilley Trucking Inc and K T Trucking both of Waynedale, Fort Wayne, IN. Jody enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sports, especially his granddaughter's softball games.
Loving survivors include his wife Janet D. (McClain) Murray, Montpelier, IN, sons Clint A. (Kasi) Chapman, Montpelier, IN and Dustan L. Chapman, Bluffton, IN, daughter - Andrea A. (Alex Guy) Murray, Marion, IN, 6 grandchildren Damon, Gage, Savannah, Arianna, Bristal and Hattie, brother Mike (Trudy) Murray, Warren, IN, sisters Kim Clark, Liberty Center, IN and Barbie Fugate, Bluffton, IN, and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Edward Murray, mother Gelene M. (Mechling) Murray Garton and brother Linc Murray.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W Windsor St Montpelier, on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A moment of sharing will follow at 8:00 PM.
