Jody Lagestee

Jody Lagestee, 40, of Davidson, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born on November 16, 1984, in South Hampton, New York to John and Donna Steckowski.
Jody was always the type to care for others before herself. She started out as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician in Lexington Park, MD, where she met her future husband, Scott. They moved to Norfolk, VA, where she graduated Nursing School. After receiving her Registered Nurse degree, they moved to Washington state where she had her pride and joy, Jackson. They then moved to North Carolina where she worked in the Urgent Care for 10 + years. She most loved spending time with her family and friends, growing her roses and sunflowers and working on arts and crafts in her spare time.
Jody is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Steckowski. She is survived by her husband, Scott Lagestee; son, Jackson Lagestee of Davidson, NC; father, John Steckowski of Hahira, GA; brothers, Kevin Steckowski of La Plata, MD and Christopher Steckowski of Lusby, MD; three nieces; and three nephews.
Services will be provided at later dates in Maryland and in North Carolina so all of her family and friends can celebrate her life.
