Joe C. Adair, 82, of Lee County, GA, died March 22, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  Memorial services will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Andrew Kornegay will officiate.

Joe was born one of ten children on January 14, 1942 to Jason and Louise Adair in Acmar, AL.  He graduated from St. Clair High School in Odenville, AL, served in the United States Army and graduated from Auburn University.

Joe and his family moved to Lee County, GA in 1978 and he was employed with Miller-Coors for twenty years.  He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.  Joe was also a member of Chehaw Lodge # 701 F&AM, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and member of the Valley of Albany and Hasan Shriners Hospital, where he served on the Directors Staff.  He enjoyed tinkering and Woodworking.  In addition to his parents and six siblings, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri A. Elder.

Survivors include his wife, Marie W. Adair, his daughters, Tina Kozuch, Tammie A. (Mike) Reynolds of Altamonte Springs, FL and Tracy Walker of Atlanta, GA, five grandchildren, Lisa Kozuch, Christine Johnson, Savannah Walker, Laney Walker and Amelia Brown, two great-grandchildren, Braelynn Brown and Nolan Brown and three siblings, Janice Hood, Sue (Lem) Hollis and Cathy (David) Sanders.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.

Those desiring may make memorials in memory of Joe to Shriners Hospitals for Children c/o Hasan Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund, 1822 Palmyra Road, Albany, GA, 31701.
