Joe Addison

Joe Wade Addison, age 79, of Canon, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

A native of Franklin County, Joe was the son of the late Charles and Era Clark Addison. He attended Lavonia High School and dedicated over 39 years of his life to a career at Power Partners/Westinghouse, where he retired in maintenance.

Joe had a passion for spending time outdoors, particularly enjoying activities like cutting wood and grinding stumps. He was also fond of traveling around town to "check on things" and visit his friends, with Dr. Pat Hitchcock holding a special place in his heart. Known for his generous spirit, Joe was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was of the Baptist faith.

Joe is survived by his son, Joey Addison, and his sister-in-law, Brenda Addison, along with a host of friends who will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clark Addison.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, Joe will be laid to rest in the Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service to pay their respects and share memories.
