EAST LIVERPOOL – Joseph S. "Joe" Como, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, following a long ten-year battle with schizophrenia. He was 29 years old. He is now in the loving arms of Jesus.
Born in Pittsburgh, October 10, 1995, he was the beloved son of Santiago "Manny" and Erica Simmons Como of Calcutta. A resident of the area all his life, he attended the Calcutta Church of the Nazarene at one time.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mina Ordich of Maryland, and Jada Como of East Liverpool, and two nieces, Evie and Mila Ordich. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Rick and Gloria Simmons, paternal grandmother, Esther Suslo (David), aunts and uncles: Courtney "Titi" Cornell (Eric), Rick Simmons (Janet), Richard Como (Dana), Jorge Como, Abraham Como, Olga Welborn, as well as cousins: Gage, Maddox, Lindley, Vera, Josh, Alana, Logan, Thomas, Joey, RJ, Isabelle, and Yelena.
Pastor Court Riddle will conduct a funeral service Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Yeshua Assembly of God, 49345 Calcutta Smith Ferry Road. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Yeshua Assembly of God for fellowship.
