Joe Davis, 74, of Trenton NJ, died 01/05/2025, at Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
He was born on August 20, 1950, to Aaron and Laura Davis in Springfield, South Carolina. Joe obtained his GED and went on to a life filled with honors and awards from his career with Waste Management.
He married Emma on May 16, 1974 and they were blessed with two beautifully made daughters, Ivana and Irene Davis whom he is truly proud. He felt more than blessed to have them more than either of them can see. He boasted and bragged everywhere about his daughters with delight that filled his heart,
He worked as a sanitation engineer and retired from Waste Management receiving honors and rewards left and right. We were always proud of his achievements.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger days. He enjoyed cooking, traveling and venturing, collecting antiques, collecting rare coins and he loved taking care of his lawn. He loved watching his Shoot'em up's (Cowboy Shows and reruns) and of course being a great dad, grandfather and great grandfather to us all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Laura Davis; brothers, Walter Davis and Isaac Davis; sisters, Gladys Davis and Jennie Mae Saylor Wesly.
Joe is survived by his wife, Emma Davis; daughters Ivana Davis and Irene Davis; grandchildren, Shateira Davis, Benjamin Davis and Joseph Davis; great-grandchildren, Jair Bailey, Jalaiyah Bailey, Ja'Miyah Davis and Jaida Griggs; siblings, Aaron Davis, Barbra Davis, Elizabeth (Bell) Staley and Josephine Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
My pops will truly be missed but always remembered for the impact he left on all of ours lives. We love you Pops.
