Joe Alma Gagecwas born on August 23. 1942, to Luther Gage and Willie McKenzie in Tyler Texas. Joe attended school there in Tyler, Texas. Joe joined the navy along with his brother, Wally. They were on the same submarine together and only served a short while.
Joe was in Pheonix Az when he met Starr Davidson in 1967 and were shortly married after that. They had two children, Jason and daughter Terry. They soon moved to
Santee, Ca. In 1973 where they resided for 24 years. After selling they started traveling to different places so Joe could work as a Plumver on new prisons that were being built, they finally ended up buying their last house together in Yuma Az in 1994. During the time while living in Santee, they enjoyed going to the River all summer long and the dessert in the winter time. Joe was an outstanding dad, husband and friend. He loved life, music and was always up for anything. Joe was struck with the terrible disease of Alzheimer's and that is when his daughter Terry brought him back to Oklahoma to care for him in 2020. She and her family made sure he stayed home and never entered a nursing home. He fought a good fight and now he is at peace and knows who he is and everyone he ever knew again.
He is survived by his daughter Terry Sparks and husband Brad of the home. Son, Jason Gage, of Yuma Az. Granddaughter, Amanda Asbill and Husband Dusty of Chouteau, Ok. Granddaughter, Brooke Henson, of the home. Grandson, Cordell Sparks and wife Kelsey, of Pryor Ok, Granddaughter, Lauren Brown and husbabd Hal of California, Grandson Timothy Vartanian, of California. Great grandbabies, Traceston, Rayden, Kynlee, and Everlee Asbill and Ace Cooper, his Buddy for life. Many nieces and nephews, and so many friends. Joe is proceeded in death by his wife, Starr Gage, his parents, Luther and Wille Gage, his Brother, Wally Gage, sister Patricia Shanahan, and brother Marcus Gage. We miss you so much already, until we see you again
