Joe Carroll Green

Joe Carroll Green (Papa Joe) was born to the late Marvin and Lorene (Phillips) Green on November 27, 1943. Joe attended the school for the deaf where he learned his trade to become a successful upholsterer. He was one of the very best around. He also learned how to work on cars and woodworking to become a talented mechanic and carpenter. Joe's favorite pass time was fishing. He could do this for hours and loved to take anyone that wanted to accompany him. Joe was a devoted father and grandfather to his daughter Jennifer (Green) Ablan and his four grandchildren Ka'Ron, Kayla, Marlaina, and Malorie. Joe spent a lot of time with his daughter and grandchildren through the years allowing for many beautiful memories.

Joe was the kindest and loving person you could ever be lucky enough to know. Knowing him leaves a hole in our hearts, but we are comforted knowing he was called home to be in the loving arms of our Lord. This goodbye is not forever, and we see him again. Joe will be missed by many family and friends!

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 21st at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe. Burial to follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Hopewell, Arkansas. To view the online register, www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook
