Joe Dean Henry, age 85 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on January 3, 1940 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Ray and Jennetta Booth Henry. He grew up in Texas and relocated to Oakridge, Tennessee and eventually Louisville, Kentucky. He considered Kentucky his home. He was employed by Joseph E. Seagrams for 35 years and from which he retired. He was a dedicated member of Southeast Christian Church. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, golfing and was a UofK Fan.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who gave generously of his time to all that knew him. His faith and love of the Lord brings us a peace that passes all understanding.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his previous spouse, Louise Jennings Henry; and his brother, James Harrel Henry.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Rebecca Ann Henry; daughter, Lisa Hobbs (Kevin); grandchildren, Addison (Maggie), Austin (Sarah), Parker (Georgia) and Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Beckett, Holland, Hudson, Presley and Henry; his sister, Roberta Agnew (John); his step-daughter, Laurie Jones (Vince); several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Joe's life will follow at 4pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Cave Hill Cemetery.
