It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joe Dudley Majors, who left us on September 18, 2025, at the age of 67. Born June 28, 1958, in Salisbury, MD, Joe was a cherished member of the Allen, MD community, where he spent his life enjoying the simple pleasures of crabbing, fishing, and being out on the water. He had an incredible bond with his mother, Dorothy Elliott, and he cherished his daughter, Katie Thornton, who was the light of his life. Joe was preceded in death by his father Joseph Clay Majors. Well-respected in the HVAC community, Joe was more than just a skilled technician; he was a friend to many. His dedication to helping others and his approachable nature made him a beloved figure among his customers and friends. Joe had a knack for brightening up a room with his warm smile and generous spirit. Joe's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life in a service that will take place in the near future. Details regarding the arrangements will be shared soon. Joe will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him, but his spirit will live on in the stories we share and the memories we cherish. Joe's family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Macky and Pam Stansell Hospice House for their compassionate care during his final days. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation in memory of Joe to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
