Joe Dru Morrow, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 8, 1937, Joe lived a life full of laughter, kindness, and generosity. After proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, Joe built a successful career as a commercial and residential realtor, where his honesty and warmth made him beloved by clients and colleagues alike.
The son of Kenneth and Irene Morrow, longtime residents of Quitman, TX, Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Gay Morrow; his son, Mitchell Morrow; his twin daughters, Leslie Kennemer and Michele Snyder; and Stepdaughter Angela Turner. He also leaves behind two brothers, J. Fred and Jonathan Harvey Morrow; one sister, Joan Nita Morrow; nine cherished grandchildren, Joe, Sasha, Jack, Ben, Will, Sarah, Madi, Nathan, and Logan; two great-grandchildren, Myles “Camo” and Marquis; and his beloved dog, Chica; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Morrow and Irene (Folmer) Morrow; and five brothers, Jerre Morrow, Jacob “Bud” Morrow, Jan Morrow, Jerome Morrow, and Julian Morrow.
Those who knew Joe will remember his generous heart, his fun-loving spirit, and his legendary dad jokes that could light up any room. He had a deep love for his family and community that guided him throughout his life.
Joe will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and laughter he brought into the world.
A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Northside Church in Mineola with Brother Fred Morrow and Pastor Steve Prestridge officiating.
Flowers are appreciated, but if desired, donations in memory of Joe may be made to Northside Church (1718 N Pacific St., Mineola, TX 75773) or Ebenezer Cemetery (535 CR 3160, Quitman, TX 75783).
