Decatur ~ Joe Lee Motsenbocker, 87, went to be with our Lord Friday, July 7, 2023.
Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023 at Paradise Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Joe was born February 4, 1936 to Joseph Robert and Leola (Woodard) Motsenbocker in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage March 6th, 1955 to Mary Frances Abel in Ida Lou, Texas. They were happily married for over 66 years until her passing in 2021. Joe was a retired construction supervisor, having worked for the Texas State Dept. of Transportation for many years. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many who will dearly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Leola Motsenbocker; and his wife, Mary Frances Motsenbocker.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Johnny Motsenbocker of Paradise, Kenneth Motsenbocker of Paradise, and Stephen Motsenbocker of Decatur; 3 grandchildren, Jill Rivera and husband Ricardo, Kamilla Martinez and husband Juan, and Logan Weaver and husband Kenneth; 3 great-grandchildren, Abel Rivera, Chole Rivera, and Mila Rivera; his brother, Larry Motsenbocker of McKinney; extended family members and a host of friends.
