Joe E. Pegram

Joe Edward Pegram "Joe Boy", aged 75, departed this life on July 14, 2025. Born on May 8, 1950, in Amelia, Virginia, to Woodrow and Elizabeth Pegram. Joe attended Russell Grove High school then transitioned into the workforce. He dedicated his life to the construction industry working as a foreman for nearly 50 years; providing guidance and mentorship to new recruits. He was baptized at an early age and a member of Little Bethal Baptist Church. He had a profound love for fishing, hunting, gardening, raising livestock, working on automobiles, building structures, being outdoors and spending time with family. He was a devoted husband to Luberta Pegram of Amelia, Va. for nearly 50 years. From that union they had two children Vincent Pegram (Tammy), of Amelia, Va. and Latasha Dunford (Chad) of Midlothian, Va. Joe was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren (Miranda, Leeann, Preston, Trevor, Phoenix and Emory). He was proceeded in death by his parents Woodrow and Elizabeth Pegram of Amelia, Va. Brothers Woodrow Lewis Pegram, Jr of Amelia, Va., Melvin Pegram, Sr of Trenton, NJ, and Howard Pegram Sr. of Amelia, Va. Sister Henrietta Pegram of Trenton, NJ. Remaining siblings Ernest Pegram Sr (Edith) of Amelia, Va, and Lois Mondrey of Amelia, Va.
