Joe Salgado

Joe Salgado passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on November 22, 1934, in West Virginia.

Joe spent an incredible 42 years as a skilled welder at Bethlehem Steel. He was not just a diligent worker; he was also an awesome father and grandfather. He had a passion for woodworking, playing pool, and music-especially strumming his banjo and guitar. Joe was an avid shooter and hunter, as well as an active member of his church.

Joe was the beloved husband to his late wife Mary Ann Salgado. Loving father to Karen Polanowski (late husband Dave), Donald Joe Salgado (Regina), Teresa Salgado, Anna Marie Salgado (fiance David Kelly), and John Wayne Salgado. Cherished grandfather to Avia Cox (Alex), Casey Lind (Rob), Paige Swann (Julia), Stephanie Salgado, Dominic Salgado, Rachel Salgado, and Hailee Parks, as well as great grandfather to Rhys Cox and step great grandchild, Grayson Lind. Brother to Lupe Dickerson, Lolita Whitaker, and Becky Hodges. Preceded in death by his siblings Nanny Salgado, Delphina Thimer, Frank Salgado, Monie Hodges, Margaret McMillan, Ila Cecil and half brother Manuel Salgado.

A public viewing will take place at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Thursday April 2, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day on Friday April 3, at 10:00 am. Followed by a graveside service at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Rd, Middler River 21220.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Joe.
