Simon Family

Thank you all for your kind words.

We just found out about Mr. Simon's passing. Our condolences to the Simon Family. We got to know Mr. Simon and his family as neighbors when we lived in Woodbury. He was very passionate about his family and pet Great Danes. Taking time from his home studio and hanging out with the kids in the neighbor was his enjoyment. We extend our prayers and sympathy to John, Jim,
Melissa, Gail and Lori.

We're truly sorry to hear of your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you at this time. For he truly hears our prayers and "he is healing the brokenhearted ones, and is binding up their painful spots".-Psalms 147:3

Thanks Joe. I was an avid Capt America fan during my youth in the 60's. Spent many a time laying on my twin bed reading through each issue multiple times.

funny story...I remember in 1970 Janis Joplin calling her drummer "Captain America" due to an outfit that he'd wear. The ripple affect goes on. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. RIP

Joe Simon touched so many lives through his comic book story of Captain America. What creativity that's needed today. Through the Scriputures, may Joe's family and close friends be comforted. He will be sorely missed!

We have lost a comic book legend but the legacy of Joe Simon lives on through his work and, for me, through Captain America! A character created for America when America needed a symbol to combat the enemies of freedom! The legacy of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, Captain America and Bucky, will always live in my heart! Condolences to the family and friends of Joe Simon. God Bless You!

Joe, your work has been a joy and inspiration to millions. The Cap film did your creation justice, and will carry this wonderful character forward for yet another generation. We will miss your creative gifts.

Joe Simon showed courage in the creation of Captain America and standing up against the evil practices of Hilter in the 1940s. He also had persistence in obtaining the partial rights to his Captain America creative work -- a effort over many decades. Clearly, Captain America must have been a reflection of Joe Simon the person. Rest in Peace.

Thank you for being such a big influence on my daughter. Captain America helped her find her path in life. She was honored to talk to you and awed by your talent.
Rest in Peace with the other angels in heaven.

Thank you for giving a gift of inspiration through Capt. America. My son Tim who passed in May was looking forward to the movie and finding out more the gift of other comic book giants so he could follow his passions to enter into that industry.
