Joe Gayle Spann has gone down the road that all of us must take when our days are fulfilled on earth, but our comfort as children of God is that he walked right into the arms of his Savior. Joe was always a joy to others and was so easy to be around, and was a wonderful teacher. I considered him a good friend and although my contact with him was limited the last few years, I always knew he was there. This world and our lives will go on. It won't be easy and life will be a little dimmer because the light that was Joe's is missing.
Prior commitments prevented me from being able to attend the service to honor Joe but my heart is with his wonderful family. Prayers and loving wishes for peace from my heart to Jan, Christy and her family, and Joe David and his family. No tears in Heaven.
