Joe passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by his parents: his mother Guadalupe Duran Trujillo, his step-mother Antonia Trujillo, and his father Susano Trujillo; sisters Corrine Castillo and Darlene Balderrama; and brothers Greg Trujillo and David Herrera. Joe is survived by his loving siblings: Sophie Garcia (Jesus), Ruth Trujillo, Bea Martínez, Yvonne Ruiz (Carlos), Amy Gonzalez (Daniel), Chofe Herrera, Archie Trujillo (Mary). He is also survived by a special nephew, Jose and his wife, Adrianne, as well as his great-niece Corrine(Tyler) and great-nephews Jose and Jason. Jose Sr. (Che) Castillo. Joe formed a close bond with Jose (Che), who was like a son to him.
