A funeral service will be held in Joe Ben Trumble’s honor, Friday, December 5, 2025, at 2 PM at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel in Emory, Texas. Interment will follow at Trumble Cemetery.
Joe Ben Trumble, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Point, Texas. Born on March 8, 1944, in Point, Texas, to Joseph and Lucille Trumble. Joe's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his many talents.
Throughout his career, Joe was a skilled welder and car mechanic, excelling in his trades for over 30 years. He possessed an ability to repair anything that was broken, earning the admiration of those around him.
Joe received his early education at Antioch School before continuing to Point School, ultimately graduating from Emory High School. His academic journey laid a foundation for the resourcefulness and determination he would carry throughout his life.
An exceptionally talented musician, Joe could play almost any instrument, including the guitar, banjo, singing, bass, and electric guitar. His passion for music was evident as he made it a tradition to attend the bluegrass festival every year in Hugo, Oklahoma, where he celebrated his love of this genre with fellow enthusiasts.
Joe was known to possess a complex but admirable personality. He was a good man, characterized by his loving, kind, and sweet nature, alongside a certain stubbornness that those who knew him well understood and cherished. He took immense pride in his family, celebrating his children and their accomplishments as his greatest achievements.
Joe is survived by his children; Pam Causey and Jerry of Point, TX Joe Allan Trumble and Tracy of Point, TX Lora Gowin of Greenville, TX, Connie Lyndon and Jonathan of Greenville, TX, Regina Trumble of Wichita KS, LaTonna Trumble of Garland, TX, Joseph Trumble of San Antiono, TX, John Lee Trumble of Point, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Causey, Amber Smith and Donald, Joey Jacob Trumble and Kyndl, Daniel Lynn Trumble, Christopher Pruitt, Megan Pruitt, Colton Pruitt and Julianna, Kaylee Trumble, Brantley Trumble; siblings, Pat, Levi, Gay and Sylvia, nine great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews
Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby Trumble; children, Debbie Chapin, Windell Gowin; parents, Joseph and Lucille Trumble and brother, John E. Trumble.
His legacy of love, kindness, and skill will continue to resonate within the hearts of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
