I worked with Joel and he will be sorely missed! He was smart, funny and generous. I loved seeing the photos that he would share when he went somewhere interesting.

Joel was in our wedding 42 years ago. He was our kids' Uncle Joel. He spent some time with us almost every Christmas. He spoiled them (and us) with gifts which he had put a lot of thought into. We went on little trips together. He was part of the family. I miss him terribly but am thankful to have known him all these years.

Joel was my college roommate for a couple years... so many good memories. Always listened to Molly Hatchet´s "Flirting With Disaster" when we drove off campus.

Joel attended our church at Buckeye Christian. He was a very kind person. He often spoke with my late husband Kevin Wolfe. He will be very missed.

I was saddened to hear of Joel´s illness and passing. I will cherish time spent years ago with Uncle Glen, Aunt Shirley, Cousins Joel and Jeff.

It is heart warming to know that he had such a loving church family and circle of friends.

Will be missing all of the Barton family,
Michele

Our hearts are aching at the passing of Joel. He wasn't only a teammate, but a wonderful friend and mentor. We spent hours over the years talking about travel adventures, photography, and music. A gentle soul that was a storyteller extraordinaire! He is sorely missed by all of his friends! There will never be another like him with his wit and wisdom!
