Joel A. Gubernat

Joel A. Gubernat, age 68 Years, of Clinton Township, NJ, has gone west on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, September 19, 1955, son of the late John Gubernat and Shirlee (Repak) Gubernat, Joel was raised in Piscataway, NJ.
During his time in the United States Navy Joel was a member of the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion, better known as the Seabees. Joel's final chapter in his long career was as a fleet manager for New Jersey septic management group. An avid fisherman and hunter, Joel enjoyed scuba diving and was a pilot and member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He loved to garden and was a devoted animal lover.
Surviving are his wife of over thirty years Donna Gubernat; two children, Jason Gubernat and his wife, Colleen of Pittstown, NJ, and Jessica Gubernat of Pittsburgh, PA; four siblings, John Gubernat of Pepperell, MA, Neil Gubernat of Baltimore, MD, Paul Gubernat of Piscataway, NJ, and Christine Mosier of Piscataway, NJ and spouses.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A eulogy service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
