Joel Mami Obituary

Joel was born in Anacortes, Washington. He grew up in Oak Harbor and made Oak Harbor his home. He acquired a love of camping, traveling, fishing, exploring the outdoors, and beach combing for agates from his grandparents.
Joel married Jamie Bartlett in 2001, and they had two children, Joel Jr. and Tayah. Joel's early love of camping and traveling continued on with his family and they had many fun family adventures together. He later welcomed another daughter, Aria, in 2020. She's added lots of love and laughter to our family.
Joel is survived by his mom, Vickie; son, Joel Jr.; daughters, Tayah and Aria; sisters, Natalie, Meagan, Tru, and Micah, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his wife, Jamie.
Joel's smile, laugh, and playful nature will be missed forever. From the moment he started talking he was a charming social butterfly. He inherited the gift of gab from grandpa.
A celebration of Joel's life will be held at a later date and posted on Facebook.
Donations can be made to the American Lung Association or the C.O.P.D. Foundation in his memory.
