Joel Heber McKell

Joel Heber McKell of Bedford, Texas passed away on April 16, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, mentor, and friend to all.
Visitation Services for Joel will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 6-8pm at Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine, TX. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 12pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Bransford Road, Colleyville.
Joel was born on July 21, 1969, in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey to Glenys and Lynn McKell of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Shea McKell of Bedford, TX; father, Lynn McKell; sons, Zane McKell (wife-Kelli) of North Richland Hills, TX, and Zacary McKell of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Maisie McKell (fiancé- Aaron) of Grand Prairie, TX; stepdaughter, Kelsi Wilson (husband- James) of Haslet, TX; brother, Gary McKell (wife- Kristine) of Federal Way, WA; sisters, Lynda Rich (husband- Dean) of Williamsburg, VA, Lisa Poling (husband- Richard) of Oklahoma City, OK, Lori Smith (husband- Marcus) of Oklahoma City, OK, Janet Shafizadeh (husband- Josh) of Sandy, UT, and Julie Willard (husband- William) of Granger, IN; grandchildren, Karson and Kayden McKell, Marilyn, Marlowe and Millie Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenys McKell; his grandparents, Micheal and Marjorie Christensen, Heber and Cornelia McKell, and his nephew, Kevin Rich.
